Displays
Panorama, Per Display and Focus Display layouts for more than one screen.
The Displays page shows your screens as arranged in macOS. Select a display to preview it in Studio.
One coordinator per process turns the current display topology into an immutable plan, and the Studio preview and the screen saver read the same plan.
Scene layout
| Layout | What it does |
|---|---|
| Panorama | One scene spans every display, sharing one normalized viewport. |
| Per Display | Each display gets its own independent, deterministic scene. |
| Focus Display | One display shows the scene. The others stay quiet. |
With Focus Display you also choose which display is the focus, and what the other displays do: Black or Subdued.
Outer edges
For Pixel Materials, the outer edges decide what happens to sand and water at the edge of the world:
- Wall: edges are solid, so sand and water stay on screen.
- Drain: sand and water that reach the bottom edge drain away.
- Off-world: sand and water that reach the bottom edge leave the scene.
Other options
- Show display numbers numbers each display in the layout so you can tell them apart.
- Open in Studio shows the selected display in the Studio preview.
- The Details section lists the display layout version, the scene plan and the configuration revision.
Multiple displays, Spaces and mixed-scale hot-plug beyond the maintainer's own setup are on the not verified on a device list.
